Single Turbo upgrade question?

I'm installing a single turbo in my 94 and have a quick question. Has anyone ever had a clearance problem between the bottem aft portion of the manifold hitting the motor mount heat shield?? It doesn't seem like a good Idea to remove it, but I'd hate to "malletize" the heat shield to make it fit. Any help?

Well, it looks like I may be able to heat-n-beat the shield into fitting but there maybe some metal to metal contact. Any guesses on which component will lose the chaff battle? any one think header heat wrap may help?
