Hello, I put this post somewhere else and someone replied that I should put it here and some of you guys may be able to help me...this is what it said: Ok so like, I don't have an rx-7 yet, but I'm one of those people that likes to waaaaaaay over plan everything and research everything to exhaustion before making any decision. So here it goes...I was wondering if anyone can help me out with picking an aftermarket turbo. I want a single turbo for an FD (yes an FD that i don't even own yet). I was thinking that max boost should come around 4000rpm. So basically my question is which turbo will give me max horsepower while still being small enough to be comepletely spooled by 4000-4500rpm? Thanx for the info.

 

Depending on where you live there are a lot of places that will tell you what the best setup is. Which will be better than getting the wrong info from someone here. In my opinion custom turbo's are the way to go. I got my single from SP Engineering in california www.sp-power.com and it works awesome. They will also tell you what to do with your entire setup; fuel, ignition etc. You should definitely check out some rotary performance shops before you go out and buy a greddy or something like that.

 

Thats a good Idea....i'll have to check up and see if there are any shops in the area that deal with rotories and know about this stuff....
