Single turbo with stock power??

Yea this sounds like a dumb post, oh well

Im looking to drop the rats nest, bc its more a pain in the *** than anything, and was wondering, what single turbo kit out there spools up basically as quick as the stock twins? Im not looking for ***** to the wall power, or to make the life expectancy on my motor equal to that of a crack ***** on main st., i just want less hassle when diagnosing things.

People have said just run the non sequential mod on the twins. I have a streetport, and i heard the non sequential mod would lag the turbo's. Others have said that as long as the boost isnt upped, the stock twins will be just fine (HAHAHA, funny).

thanx fer all of your help!!!

Apexi Rx-6, Yes

To4-E, Yes

T60-1, don't know

But still no 1st turbo = more lag. I think the 1st 2 single turbos above will spool about ~3000 RPM?

The Apexi is not rebuildable but the To4 is.

Later, Jeff

T04E and RX6.

Both set at 10 psi should be what you are looking for. But its hard not to start playing with the boost controller... Both are probably more efficent at slightly higher boost levels.

Converting to non seq is not a bad idea. It does give you more lag but it makes up for it in smoothness and slightly more upper rpm pull. Also it is a lot cheaper than going single turbo.

The Greddy TD06 should fit the bill as well.

I agree. I've heard that this turbo has practically no lag. Probably as close to the stock twin's response as you're gonna get.
