Single turbo question

I have a 93 fd r1 with the some mods. My stock twins are going to go out soon so I was just wondering if anyone could tell me the most cost efficient way of getting my car back on the road when it happens. People have been saying horrible things about re-building the twins so I was going to stay away form that option. I was thinking about a small single turbo. If anyone knows of a small single turbo I could buy new or especially used that will get me about 350 to 400 hp to the wheels. Thank you

DIY is the easiest way to save money if you're confident in your abilities. Having just removed my twins for a single turbo install, I would recommend finding a way to get rid of the whole damn system (single). While a single turbo simplifies the hell out of a really problematic system, you'll need 4-5 grand for a new one after you get done with fuel upgrades. Best bet might be a used one—find someone selling one with 10-20k or so on it and it'll still last you a long time. Otherwise you can replace the whole twin assembly with a new or less used one, but a fresh one is still like 2.5k+. The ones I just pulled have 49,000 orig miles on 'em if you wanna buy mine .
