Single Turbo ducting alternative
Single Turbo ducting alternative
ShawnK (and any others that are interested),
There's a better way of making that ducting.
You can go to Home Depot or any hardware store and pick up the 3" or 4" elbows (twistable) that are used for ducting (laundry hardline). It is NOT the flexible stuff.
Get some insulation tape and aluminum tape (at least a couple rolls of each).
Order some silicon hose connector (3" or 4") to connect the filter to piping and the piping to compressor housing (turbo). You also want to get hose clamps (4).
Get a few of those (you'll probably want to get about 6 or so with the length you're running) elbows. Test fit it and mark the elbows as you twist it to shape.
Wrap the insulation tape around the piping. Try to cover all the piping so there will be minimal leaks.
Wrap the aluminum tape (smoothing out wrinkles) around the insulation tape.
Fit it together and tightly clamp it. I would highly suggest a small bracket to mount the intake filter or somehow secure the intake from hitting the ground.
If you like to see pics, I can try to find one I've posted before and you can also see it in Ari's car (back a couple years ago).

I would like to see some pics of the routing below. There is a spot or 2 that would be a little tight for a 4" non flexible pipe the way I routed it. I am happy with the effect it has had but I definately think it can be better than the way I did it. Thanks for the post,
Shawn
