single and a SMIC?

Im thinking of junking the stock twins and running a single for simplicity/reliability/predictability, BUT not looking to run massive hp (yet, summer project in the wings...) so my question is:
Anyone running around 360-400whp and using a greddy SMIC (seems a shame, not been running it long!) i intend using a blower specced to 400whp at around 16psi. Anyone tried this guys? I appreciate its pushing it a bit, but just interested!

In my new engine I am going to be running a Pettit Cool charge III with my car (it is being rebuilt now).

When SCC did a intercooler shoot out a couple of years ago they found that the Pettit SMIC actualy had lower intake temps than the big FMICs. IIRC......

I dont know about the Greddy, I think it is quite a bit smaller and doesnt have the nifty air routing device that the Pettit and M2 type intercoolers come with. The guys working on my car say that the Pettit is fine for 400-450whp which is what I am going to run. (500whp super lag setup got old.... quick).

Good luck!

If you look at the old hyper rev rx7 magazines, there are a lot of RX7's that run the greddy SMIC with a large single turbo. But the thing is, why waste all that money on a nice turbo kit and sell yourself short on another crucial aspect of the car? Might as well just stay with twins instead of half assing it. At least you could use your money on other parts of the car.
