Single project? Should I go on?

My friend and I both were converting to single turbo, I was leaning towards the gt35/40, he was leaning towards T-78. My question is, if the engines are professional rebuilt by a good mechanic, and the tubo kits put on, how reliable and how long should a good engine last? I mean I would keep the boost setting on low at all times, say 12 psi, and I would only boost 15 at the track, once a month. I would only drive the car 2 times a week, maybe 3. None during the winter months. I am not a maniac either, I wouldn't boost all the time, probably never. Just during track runs and maybe some street fun. You guys think I should keep my project going and continue? I don't want to have to rebuild every year. Maybe 2 to 3 years.

don't worry, as long as you get it tuned right and drive limited amounts then it will last a long time.

If you're going to run low boost all the time then don't get a single turbo, it's a waste of money. Don't be afraid of these cars either. A single tuned properly will last you well over 60k miles easy. Probably more than 60k.

Most singles are at their best at 15psi+.
