I had to have my newly rebuilt engine tore down due to low oil pressure. But my Question is, on the side and center housings, the groove is .001 of an inch. Do I need to worry about having them lapped? Everything measures out to almost near perfect/new specs due to the nature of the new engine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I personally woundn't worry about it as long as nothing is warped which I doubt it is.
