Video title states EFR 9174 hybrid and I could see right away its the 91mm compressor on the dyno by the late power onset (compressor surgeline).

Smaller exhaust wheel on the 91mm compressor may help response, but it cannot help spool/rpm since the compressor is surgeline limited on the rotary (though porting helps this).

Maybe P ports are dogs under 4K?

Yup, must be doggy-doo power under 4,000rpm.

*tries to provoke a real dyno sheet from OP*

So is this a 9174 or an 8374?

If 8374 there is something wrong, or the dyno pull was started way late. I've seen an 8374 with 1.05 turbine make 18psi at 3300rpm - TII semi PP, stock intake/ throttle body, E85.

If 8374 it'll be doing about 105k turbine rpm at 8k engine rpm/20psi. There's not much compressor left at this point and turbine back pressure will be around 27psi. From what I've seen I don't think pulling to 9k rpm is going to make anymore power than 8k rpm. Comp efficiency drops rapidly and at the same time TBP increases rapidly. (the problem with semi PP's is they swallow too much air at high rpm and have low VE at 3000-4000rpm). 550hp and 24/25psi MGP max I think.

If the turbo is a 9174 there will be more max hp potential with slightly lower TBP. It still should be on song quicker than the dyno sheet shows however.

Engine sounds good in the vid!

From his build thread, the graph under 4k isn't WOT.

"Graph (Do understand we don't Roll into 4rth Gear like most tuners,...because when do you actually roll into 4th from 2k RPM... We map the Sweep!! Because that's what matters on the track! "

I tend to agree, doesn't matter at all as you rarely would keep it in 4th gear if the engine has dropped down to 2k rpm, that's why cars have gears.

Well, when you are limited by your tuning tool (Dynojet) it makes sense to tune in sweeps as stated, but most people would go back and do a full pull from 2,000rpm so people can see the powerband of the set-up.

The build thread seems to indicate this is a EFR 9174...
