??'s about a crack in my rear housing on my t04

I have a decent crack in my hot side on my t04. My question is....will this actually have any affect on my turbo spool or on my wastegate function? At first I thought yes definately. then after a bit I got to thinking that the location of the crack wouldnt actually do any harm. It is on the rear outlet of the housing right where the downpipe meets it. The crack is large enought to see exhaust coming out. To get a better picture of it, it runs circular with the housing, and when the v band is on you cant see it. But back to the question, does this matter? To me it seems that it shouldnt because the location of the crack is far enought back into the exhaust system that it doesnt matter anymore. Its actually behind the turbo, in the very furthest part of the shell. It wouldnt divert air away from GETTING to the turbo, or the wastegate for that matter (its external). It wouldnt have any affect on the vaccuum or boost system getting air TO the motor, so does it really matter? The only thing that I could think of that it would make a difference on or not is turbo spool. Some of the velocity might be lost in the housing, but thats about it. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

You answered yourself. Lack of pictures = lack of responses btw. If your car runs good, then stop over thinking the crack. If its still bugs you even though theres no noticable performance loss, then get a new turbine housing, there less then $300.00.
