rx6 ic piping size

rx6 ic piping size

are you guys with the rx6 using the piping that came with the kit, it seems a little small, let me know

The compressor outlet is 2.5", which I think is the same size as the piping. I only use the cast elbow and some of the couplers, but 2.5" is a reasonable size for this stuff, I think. I did a calc once and found it to be okay using the rule of thumb from Corky Bell's book. I think it was 350 ft/sec velocity in the pipe or something, and at 600 CFM (high estimate) 2.5" was under that velocity. I'm too lazy or I would do the calc again.

That is not to say that bigger might not be better, but just that 2.5" is not grossly undersized for this application.
