rotary extreme secondary rail

I'm in the middle of installing my new injectors and rails, but have run into a bit of a problem.

I have a used rotary extreme secondary rail and 1680 injectors. I have installed the KG Parts spacers in the LIM to get the proper seal on the injectors, but I am having trouble figuring out how to actually bolt the rail to the LIM. The bolt flange attached the the rail is too short to bolt directly to the stock location. Is there supposed to be a spacer underneath it? I have a few random nylon spacers sitting around that might take up the space, but i want to make sure i have the right size because I want the seal on the injectors to be good. Or can I just use long bolts and leave the threads showing between the flange on the rail and the top of the LIM?

I searched and found this, but the first pic doesn't really let you see how it is attached, but looks like there may be a black spacer behind the flange, does anyone have any experience with this? go to the first pic in this link

Thanks.

Couple of stupid questions first..

Have a pic?

How much space are we talking about?

Did you remove the diffusers before installing the spacers?

Have you seated the injector into the spacer so that the O-ring rests on the shelf of the LIM? (please lube orings with oil before doing this or they will tear.) It almost sounds like the o-ring is setting on top of the bevel. Keep pushing.

Did you happen to try fitting the rail/injectors without the spacers and check for height? Their job is only to shrink the injector bore and not its depth.

Depending on the design of the rail the height of the legs may be adjustable. (Keith's are..)

Just talked to Kieth, looks like I have the LIM that has the diffuser that needs to come out first ( I guess on some manifolds you can leave them in. Its not going to be fun getting those spacers out

Let me know if you have any bright ideas. I hope i don't drop anything in the engine getting them out.

I am so screwed, there is no way the spacers are coming out without removing the turbo, downpipe and LIM. just great.

Turns out I only had to remove the downpipe to remove the LIM. So that was good.

Bad news is I made a small gouge in the hole where the injector sits trying to get the spacer out. Its small but noticeable. I tried taking a pic but the inside of the whole is so shiny I can't get a decent pic. if any light gets on it it just glares like crazy (yes i have the flash off).

Hopefully the new injector doesn't manage to leak out of it, I cant imagine that it would really be able to get fuel back through there while its squirting in the opposite direction, especially if the O ring sits below the gouge.

Kieth is being awesome and sending me free replacement spacers. He helped me out a lot on the phone today too, I'll be sure to take pics when putting it all back together, there isn't a good write up on this that I could find.
