Also, I know of a few cars in PR that were built that way, something similar to this manifold but custom, where they installed a long cylindrical sleeve that went front to back across both peripheral ports. This sleeve operated similar to the 6port cars and it had a mechanical boost actuator that turned it under boost exposing the peripheral ports after X amount of boost and closing it the rest of the time. The cars drive like they are just street ported and when they boost they are insane. There is a benefit.....I dunno how many people would consider this though when you could just boost a streetport more and possibly get to your desired power levels....its practicality is arguable....

Semi peripheral is way more streetable(if that can be said about anything with peripheral ports ) than full peripheral.

I think going semi-peripheral would be a unwise personal journey. Go with a steetport if you're looking for more flow. I'm hoping to go completely peripheral with my next motor. Sure there's going to be more overlap, but think of the big port you can run. What's even more attractive is the fact that you don't have that 90 degree transition in the bowl of the irons.
