Modern tuning advocates advancing ignition timing as rpm rises. Has anyone thought of reducing ignition split at high rpms for the same reasons?

Just a thought provoking idea. Who knows mabe some tuners do it but not mentioned.

Your thoughts on this please.

 

yes timing does it advance with rpm but also retards with load.then after peak torque most are advancing the timing again very slightly.with split,most run 15deg split in low load areas.then tightens up to 5-6deg split around the 100kpa then as going past 100kpa in to boost splits starts widening again back to 15deg split.most mid/high range ecus allow for 3d table for split.i normally don't have split change with rpm just load.
i personally haven't played with split enough to see positive and negative influences.
