recommend a turbo

heres the setup

82 model s
91 jspec TII
npr intercooler, frontmount
haltech e6k
720 gsl se primary
1600 secondarys
450 hp fuel pump

Im looking for 300 on the street with 93 and premix and 375 or so on the track with 100 and premix.

I am on a tight budget. I was originally planning on getting a BNR stage III. but now Im considering a full upgrade.

What turbo would you recomment, and can I get a cheap rebuilt one (neccessary)

also, what manifolds are available. I have seen alot of obx racing manifolds on ebay.

thanks

Those OBX manifolds are supposedly pretty good. Nice prices too. There are some recent posts in the Single Turbo and Rotary Performance forums about this manifold, check them out.

Seems you have all the upgrades done already except for the turbocharger... good stuff.
A 60-1 turbo might be right up your alley for what you want.

I might be able to make this work

the BNR is 700 plus a 200 downpipe so $900

the obx man is 250-300

I was thinking the 60-1 also, is there somewhere I can get a remaned one cheap.
WHat about oil and coolant lines, how do I set that up

And the wastegate what would you recommend?

I love that quote, hehe

Sounds like you should get the BNR upgrade (stage 4)? He puts a 60-1 compressor in the T2 turbo and also puts in a P trim turbine so basically it's a "single turbo". Talk to mike-p-28, he'l fill you in if you're intrested. Or shoot Bryan an e-mail.

Mike says his spools damn fast but you'd have to ask him personally.
I'm guessing it would be a touch less hp than a full upgrade. But the good thing about this is you don't have to buy a manifold/ wastegate and a T2 downpipe will fit right on.
I'm not sure the two would sound any different. The full upgrade would definitely sound different if you had the WG open to air though

One nice thing about the full upgrade is you can change turbine housings if you wanted to change your powerband.

But the T2 would be stealth

Im going to stick with the BNR setups

I would rather have more top end.

Im going to call them and see what they recommend.

the 60-1 sounds like the right choice.
