I would have thought that turbo would make more power at 20psi. Do you know what the exact sizes are on that jonta? Also wondering if your motor is not ported? Or some other reason aside from the cat? Anyway loose the cat and get a straight pipe with a Borla or someshit welded in.
I have a 4" down pipe to get rid off

Always glad to hear another customer of Ray though with a fast car on the road. Enjoy.

Congratulations.

Nice numbers! I also thought that it would make more power at 20 psi. What were the afr's? Please post a chart, or email to cripsR6@hotmail.com.

the motor is a streetported 3mm from pfs with 500 miles on it
the boost spiked to 20 when the turbo first came on then fell to about 18psi. at 18 is when the 463 was reached but i just put 20 down because i knew people would say if it spiked that high then thats the boost it was at

So lets clarify because I am about 100% sure that Ray would not build a motor with 3mm apex seals. I assume they pulled apart your old motor (which had 3mm apex seals already from what I remember) , ported it then re-assmebled and put it back in the car?

They are good #'s. Right in line with that turbo. With a bigger, less restrictive exhaust you'll may pick 10-15rwhp more. Thats easily enough power to run 10's.
Congrats!

yeah, he can't make too much more power at that boost level, turbo's too small. it's only a 61mm compressor.

He means at that boost level. And the power is in line considering his restrictive exhaust.

c-16 = race gas + more boost which means more power

hey joe, did you get a new intercooler or are you still running the 2-row? If you are running the 2-row, you didnt have any problems boosting it up to 20 psi? I thought 15psi was the limit on a 2-row? Just curious.

15psi limit is a misconception.....I've seen Greddy 2 row FMI make over 500rwh with no issues.

Thats good news for me =), since i have a 2 row and will be going single turbo here soon. Now i know if i want to turn up the boost to like 20psi with some race gas at the track i can.
