quick question
Ok, im in the middle of building me a new intercooler system. And I just got a power fc.. would it be "safe" to run the base map on my car if the turbo isnt hooked up? IE. no boost, just a filter on my greddy elbow? Cause I been borrowing my dads caddi and he needs it back, I was curious if it would be safe to run like that.. if it matters, I have stock injectors, hks racing fuel pump, aromotoive fpr, street port, 3mm apex seals, pulleys and full exhaust, as well as MSD 6al and MSD DIS-2

what if I put my bov and hotpipe in my turbo capped off one end and had the bov setup to leak alot? I used to turn my boost all the way off with my controler and it ran fine.

Probably not a very good idea. As the engine creates exhaust gas, the turbo will still have air flow. By capping the turbo outlet, you will create reversion flow, small surges applying load on the shaft.
