Questions on GT35r

I am looking to put a GT35r with a .82 turbine on a stock port 13bRE cosmo motor. This is being put into a FB so not looking for anything more than right around 300whp. My question for you guys is how would the spool time be with stock ports and will this make my car a very fun street machine? I am of course going to upgrade the fuel system along with using a msd DIS-4 ignition(using 2 sets of trailing FC coils) and Haltech a e6k.
Any input would be great!

thanx,
-vern

honestly... youd be better off with somthing like a GT30R.

faster spool... and more in your rwhp range.

What I am taking my comparisons on is reading forum members dealings with the GT35r. It seems on a FD REW motor it sees full boost around 3200rpms and does seem to run out of breath in the uppper rpm range(I do know the RE exhaust ports are smaller than the REW). With the GT30r I would be a litte worried about the upper rpm range. Although I am mainly using it in the street, so 3k-7/8k rpm is where I will be mostly.
Anyone else care to chime in with some input?

T4 flange, .8X turbine on a stock port RE will reach full boost near 3K rpm That will be a very fun street car.

You have to remember too that housing selection, and turbo selection are not absolutes when factoring spool up. Manifold/runner design, intercoler design, exhaust, all play a major roll in spool up. But a 35R will be very responsive on a stock port RE and will reach your goals easily while at the same time not too big for those goals either.

I figured I would mention the exhaust ports simply due to the fact they are smaller than the FD 13b, and I know that alone will play some difference in the exhaust gas flow, and in return would play a big role on the sppol up times. I am currently looking for a tubular manifold with a t4 footprint(do you happen to have one? ;] ).
So Classic, your saying that the 35r would fit my suit perfectly?

thanx 4 your replies,
