Question on turbos and hybrids

I have a 88tii and current mods are 720 secondary injectors, walbro 255, and apexi pfc standalone with stock tmic. I was wondering what kind of turbo i should go with, say bnr stage 3 or a garrett. Looking for fast 1/4 times with fast spooling. I had a fmic but i took it off because it was blocking all the air from reaching my radiator so i was over heating, and my e-fan was constantly on to cool temps. Probably going to need a new fmic so if anyone has suggestion for that too, please let me know. I'm new to turbos and tried doing some research on turbos but not really sure, so need some advice from people who know turbos. Thanks!

well, i know that the bnr stage 3 is about 950. so i would say like 1500 or less? something like that. i don't want anything too big but i want to get the most out of it. if that makes sense.

This is going to cost you more than you think to do it right. Supporting mods first...

you've got engine management but you probably should get 1680cc secondary injectors and a fuel pressure regulator, which I believe is possible to fit in the stock rail with some modification. You COULD get away with less injector than that, but the 1680's give you room to grow and should have you good up to 400whp with an FPR. That's a couple hundred bucks right there all depending how much you spend on plumbing. The cheap method would be to get 1000 secondary injectors, and put your 720's in the primary position. With bigger primaries your Power FC will definitely be in need of a re-tune. It will not run very well out of boost.

Corksport has a FMIC setup but I think that's $900 unless you want to put your own together. That may or may not work out too well since you consider yourself new to turbos and don't know as much about the headaches of boost leaks, pipes blowing off, etc. You'll want an aftermarket blowoff valve because you'll need a custom intake charge pipe. So figure minimum of $800-$1000 for fuel and intercooler and blowoff valve, could be way more, could be less, all depending on what you buy. You may also need a better radiator if you have the stock one, that's going to be $300-500.

Then for the turbo, you're pretty much stuck buying a hybrid because you can't afford a new manifold, turbo, and wastegate. Throw in all the extra **** that seems to come up (tools etc that you end up buying) and there's a good chance you're at your budget before you even buy the turbo. Since you are in Cali ("OC" location) you may have to worry about the cops... they aren't kind to flashy turbo imports based on what I've seen personally and what I've heard from guys out there. Maybe you should recirculate your blowoff valve, be careful of the intercooler placement (put mesh in front of it to hide it somewhat), run a Racing Beat exhaust (which looks pretty stock), keep your emissions stuff, etc.

thanks for your help. I forgot to add that i have the koyo rad, and bov with charge pipe. i have the tools and i have a sard fpr that i didn't put in yet, because i don't need it yet. I'm just wondering about what turbo to get for that budget not including the manifold, fmic, injectors ect. i know that i'm going to have to spend probably another 1500 for the other stuff. I'm only looking for 300-350 rwhp, not more than that. also, i have all my emissions removed.
