What fuel pump and injectors are you running?

Anyone have the diameter of the compressor intake/outlet for the 7670 and the 8374? I'm going to have to make up some custom piping and may as well start getting my measurements...
3.5" in, and 2" out on the 7670, 8374 is 4" in, and 2.5" out.

Thanks!! I did some digging (googling) and also found that on the Borg Warner website. Appreciated.

What wasn't shown is whether those are ID or OD (or center line) dimensions... any ideas?

Using e85 requires quite a bit more fuel than 93/98.

As far as supporting mods, I'm using an adaptronic

What boost are you running?
Can you share your boost graph over the RPM?

unfortunately it’s below 5250 rpm, good for a street car, not so much a competition car.

Well, efr 7670 turbo is a ~420rwhp turbo on the rotary.

If it made any more torque after 5,250rpm it would be a 500hp turbo. Thats how torque and horsepower work.

You cant blame the turbo for choosing the wrong size turbo...

Thanks for reminding me that no matter how smart we might be, we can just as easily turn right around and post something like that. Is that how it really works? Are you sure? Was I just lucky to specifically mention that one particular reference? Maybe a drop or two of your special brain force juice escaped out of that big head and got on me?

No, I was making a point, one that completely eluded you. It eludes a few people; not everyone, but more than a few. So maybe you’re not so special after all. Which it did have a qualifier included and the logical conclusion is you missed reading that part after being triggered into making such a blundering response.

It’s a good turbo for a peppy street car. Which you and I have discussed many times in the past. So I’m not even sure why that was necessary, but hope saying it again helps you feel better even though the post wasn’t about the turbo at all. Please also accept my apology for any confusion it may have cause you. After all, this is a turbo specific thread and it was likely my mistake to have wandered off the topic path. Hope the rest of the weekend goes better for both of us.

I actually prefer more power in a street car.
So, we cant even agree on that XD. Where else but the freeway can you really cut lose with more power.

So, I think the 7670 is a good turbo for a competition car if you are in a NASA dyno class and choose your turbo for the 300-400rwhp range.
Or if you compete at autox or short course work.

Its a bad turbo for a competition car on a longer track where your competition chooses an 8374 or 9180.

I do bottle and sell my brain force juice if you are ever interested- just pm me for details.

I finally turned up the boost on my EFR7670 today. if anybody was curious about exhaust backpressure on these turbos, it is not bad at all, was expecting it to be bad. btw, this was basically with the wastegate unplugged. Need to get to a dyno to see what power its making

Its perfect a autocross car where you drop down below 3000rpms often. Most people that pick the 7670 want response over max HP.
my FD makes right at 400hp/400tq on the 7670. That on a stock port motor.
To many times people get hung up on the max #s.

He said pump. Unfortunately, that means 91/93/94 octane and not e85 for a majority of us.

e85 comes out of a pump lol
I know. I just wanted to show what the turbo can do on a mild setup. It’s easy 350/350 on **** pump gas

No, have quite a few customers running that similar power level on the combination/fuel etc.

Lucky7's been running 450rwhp/390rwtq for 7 years on our IWG 7670 kit( E85, mild ported FC engine). This is albeit the highest ever seen on an a 7670 with a rotary engine... Most others report a max of 430rwhp.

Well most who claim high EMAP don't even have the sensors to measure it... Conspiracy theorists.

As someone else pointed out, this thread is (supposed to be) specific to 93 octane. I admittedly overlooked that brian previously stated he was running E85 and only focused in on the fact his engine still had stock ports, so that mix up is on me. However I still stand by my comment that people aren't making 400/400 on 93 and stock ports with the 7670. So jumping in to reference yet another build running E85 and porting isn't a 'gotcha', it's apples and oranges and I'd be really confused if you didn't agree with that.

I will be switching to pump gas here in a few months. I’m guessing it should do easy 325 or more on pump more to the 350 range

Eagerly awaiting dyno numbers when you make that switch!

Gas stations here in Hong Kong run 98 (I forget if it's exactly comparable, but it sounds about right) -- can anyone guesstimate the difference in boost/power that could be had on 98 vs. 93?

Quick Reply: Pump 93 on the street. efr iwg 8374 or 7670?
