Pulleys with single turbo

I am planning on going single turbo on my 3rd gen. I will be removing the airpump, do I have to get under drive pulleys becuase the abscence of the aripump or can I just get a smaller belt to run the alt and water pump?

I don't think you have to get different pulleys, but I already had an underdrive main pulley so I ended up getting a Water Pump and Alternator pulley from SR Motorsports to increase the contact on the water pump. It does not look like it has slipped at all, which is something I was worried about. Running an underdrive main pulley with the stock WP and Alt pulleys would probably not be a good idea.

I used a Gates K050290 (5-rib, 29.0") belt purchased locally for less than $10. It was special order, but they were able to get it just a few hours after I came in to place the order. You can find a Gates distributor on their web site http://www.gates.com/

Stock pulleys would probably require a longer belt.

Just buy the Greddy pulley kit for $115
Or if you go with a greddy turbo kit the pulley set comes with the kit.

I must agree with Jason. The GReddy pulley kit is not expensive, and will take care of the setup you want to do.
