porting primary plate

Just had a guy from the usa here to build a friend motor, while speaking to him while he was porting the plates,he said not the port the primary plates cause its only used to start and drive around with,at high boost the primary plates dont do a damm thing,i think this is all bull.Oh yeah and he moved the tail of the ports so low down, said that on intake the air sucks down first so you need to port the tail as low as possible, wish i had some pics but he said i cant take any out.Cant wait to go to the track and put a beating on that car.

that guy must be smoking something realy good. usually porting goes, back toward the water jacket, and up toward the top of the plate. You can go down a bit, but not to much. Hope everything works out for ya. CJ

Four "secondary" ports are better than two.
