The car did 380 RWHP last year with the RX6 Apex and large street port and was running like crap. I added the stronger ignition and sumped the tank to run more fuel and a few other things like the water injection. I got the car running but was running like **** again so I was in the process of begining some tuning and the turbo started to smoke and decided to die. It is being rebuilt and I will be told what made the turbo fail but I have a good idea (what "lightly used" meant). Other then that the blue lines are just wire loom/blue tape to protect the electrical, since most has been replaced. I have not replaced the rear dif. or axels as I want to see the car make enough power before I spend more cash . Like many of Us the car has been a major pain and wonder if it is worth it, but I should know more in a couple of weeks with some wide band/datalogit tuning. Maybe the turbo is a bit large but I thought I would try it and see.I am only using a .96 hotside and was hoping the BB would help with the spool.

mani

Here is a pic of the custom mani and DP made for the turbo. The turbo sits very forward and there is not much room for a filter.

How much did you have that turbokit made for?

Bi State Customs Sells that kit for 2950.00. Was it more or less?

2600.00 for the oil lines, mani, DP, new .96 Vband housing, waste gate, turbo, heat sheild.

Also waiting for the cost of the rebuild on the turbo which should be a couple bucks for sure.

fd racer, the "kit" was a custom made job By a Guy in Florida. Basically, it is a kit without some of the fancy stuff You would get with a Brand name setup for a fraction of the price. I had to wait some time for the work to be done and am still waiting for a few pieces to show.

Yep, BI State Customs offers that same kit for 2950. It comes with Turbo, Jet-Hot Coated Manifold/Downpipe,Wastegate/Air Filter. Turbos can be interchangable to your specifications and of course the price will be less if you go with a cheaper turbo like the T04S.

Anyways just giving you some thought.
