oops! wrong wastegate

oops! wrong wastegate

i thought that since i got a hks cast manifold that if i bought the hks racing wastegate it fit... NOPE! does anybody know a wastegate that would fit on this hks t4 cast manifold?!? would it be possible to weld a vband flange to the wastegate and manifold to relieve the problem? or just get another wastegate? open to trades o and its a hks 50mm s/s racing wastegate bnib

Looks to me that the header is HKS-style 50mm.

My 44mm TiAL has flange that looks like your wastegate. Shipped the right stuff to you?

Make a small adapter pipe with both Mates to the appropriate flanges.
You could Weld a Flange on,but that would be Wrecking the originality of the part.The adapter would allow you to change out later on.
To get an Idea of what I am talking about ..look up SS autochrome on Ebay.they have Crappy manifolds that have a Pipe that extends from the manifold to the Wastegate.

yes they sent me the right w/g i checked the serials at hksusa.com. i really don't wanna weld anything on the manifold >.< i just want it to bolt right up. is that too much to ask :P anyone one know what kind of wastegate would bolt right up to this flange?!?

This picture shows what is being talked about and how I did it on my setup. I am running a greddy cast manifold and figured (like you) my greddy wastegate would bolt up. Unfortunately the cooling fins on the outter edge of the wastegate contact the manifold. So I made an extension pipe as shown here.

good picture! that gave me a better idea, i guess i'll just wait to actually do my swap before trying to get rid of this wastegate.
