Oil Return line Leak + overheating

I cranked my car for the first time yesterday after installing my T-78. I lost a lot of oil, probably almost 2 quarts and my car started to get very hot.. so i shut her down. didn't go very far at all, managed to limp it home and let it cool.

Question-

I need to make another gasket for the return line, since i recieved the WRONG gasket from magestic turbo. What should i use?

2nd- Overheating due to the oil leak? Or just the simple fact that air might still be in my cooling system?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

#1: Is it the gasket on the turbo or the one back to the oil pan? The oil pan gasket can be had at Mazda.

#2: I can't see how that would be related to your oil loss at all, probably need to bleed your cooling system again.

Doesn't the T-78 use the same oil drain flange style as a T04? If so you could probably get the gasket at turbonetics or a local diesel repair shop.

You'll need to watch the cooling fluid level. The trick is to add water to the system VERY slowly giving time for air to escape as the water fills up. Since you already have fluid in the system, you will need to periodically "burp" the system by loosening the radiator cap while it's hot. BE REALLY FRIGGIN CAREFUL when doing this. Use a rag. Turn it ever so slightly.....listen for the gurgle. Retighten the cap. Let the car cool. Completely. Remove the cap and see if there's room to add coolant. Add coolant as necessary. Don't add cold water/coolant if everything is still hot. Could cause warpage!
You may have to do this several times.
