What do you guys recommend for a single turbo car pushing 450HP. It will be mainly for street not track and is good for stop and go traffic. Is Exedy Twin Disc ZM022SD good or go with ACT performance Street Disc ZX6-HDSS rated for 402ft/lbs torque? If I get the ACT is their flywheel recommended or just reuse stock flywheel? Thanks in advance
You really want to go to auto counterweight and new flywheel and clutch no matter if single or double.
Double will have the nicest pedal feel.
I daily drove a DCS ceramic cushion button single in Sydney cross harbour traffic with taller 1st gear of an OSG gearset (4.77 diff, 1st was still long), wasn't terrible. If you think you might go for more power or aren't a larger person the twin plate is probably the sensible option.

so using auto counter weight will not need to balance the rotating assembly with this Exedy twin disc clutch? Is this auto counter weight the one Banzai Racing selling on their website? Thanks
i didn't respond to your post as i am pretty uninformed as to single disc options other than that there are no single disc clutches that hold 500 rwhp and are happy in stop and go traffic. since you mentioned 450 tops i figured you would be going single.
ff you are thinking about a twin disc you should know that there is an alternative to the Exedy. while the Exedy is beautifully engineered by the number one (30 Billion $ revs 2025) clutch company (Daikin) on the planet, it employs cerametallic clutch discs. until a year ago it was our only good twin disc option. due to the cerametallic material engagement lacks feather on take up.
ACT recently provided the solution. a beautifully sprung ORGANIC lined twin disc. able to hold 600+ rotary power while being very close to OE pedal and drama free take up. totally happy in stop and go traffic. available in higher torque configs if needed.
it almost looks too nice to hide it in the bellhousing:
notice the solid unforgiving material on the Exedy disc...
i am a vendor on the forum and do sell both brands but enthusiastically recommend the ACT. PM me for Forum Pricing. i also sell the essential rear counterweight.
Echoing Howard's sentiments above, I recently upgraded to the ACT Mod-Twin 225 HD Sprung Street Clutch (T1SS-MZ01) for my 400+ HP single turbo setup. Clutch pedal feel is amazing; even better than the OEM/stock feeling pedal when leaving the dealership for the first drive home back in '93. Knowing that I've future-proofed any torque capabilities I might desire down the road is icing on the cake.

Spec Clutch in Alabama offers the street friendly Super Twin for the FD3. It uses sprung hubs, organic lining option, and includes the flywheel setup. It’s not listed in their pulldown vehicle menu though. You have to send an email or call and speak to a customer service agent for the information. It will more than meet your torque output level.
Not to be confused with their Mini-Twin clutch, which uses unsprung hubs with 7.25” diameter discs. It’s streetable, but operates more like a race clutch from a standing start (juddering/shaking).
OS Giken is another alternative. You’d have to contact them to confirm torque capacity / Model Type. Below is a link to the USA website and current FD3 options:
