I am planning to run it on my XS cast manifold but I was thinking about have SFP make one later and switch to that. What do you guys think? Are there any bennifits to a nice tubular stainless manifold other than looks?

very nice does it fit ok with the xs manifold?

my current turbo with the hks cast manifold is like 1mm from the frame rail on the compressor side

i think for a street car the cast is fine. i would think the runners being closer to the motor is better too. most other tubular ones you see are higher up. better clearance tho. I am not an engineer tho

Yes!!! The thing is so tight and smoothe.. its incredible!

I hope so... I have the TO4S right now and it is a close fit... maybe another manifold will not be an option? I am still waiting on some exhaust tubing so I can't put it in until next week some time. The discharge outlet is 3 1/2", and my downpipe is 3" so i need to make a new pipe and reduce it down.

Its a Q trim 1.0 devided housing... before anyone jumps in and says "that's too small", let me just say, i know, but I wanted to try it anyway. I am running this TO4S(60-1) with the same size and its a P trim. The Q should flow better so I am going to try it and see what happens. If it starts to choke up I will go for a 1.15. If it works with the 1.0, then I will have a very fast spooling, high flowing turbo that I can push to 25psi if I want.

Nice turbo, must have set you back some $$$$. Love that V-band on the turbine discharge. I'm running 60-1 with P-trim. Boy its time for me to save up again.

The tubular flows better and is lighter, but the cast manifold is better for the street and is less prone to cracking, unlike the tubular.

Innovative turbos are the ****!!! Im a dealer for them. Believe it or not they will spin when you blow on it. I had a customers T72 Dual BB here and you can tap it and it will spin and spin and spin. They are expensive but worth the loot imo.

Perfect turbo...600+rwhp...no problem. 430+rwhp on pump gas @ 14 psi. all day long. 17-18 psi almost or just under 500 rwhp on pump gas. Have fun!

are they better than the dual bb gt series turbos? do they spin easier than the gt's? how much can you get the gt80 dual bb, greg? i asked innovative and they quoted me 3500.

Jesus!!!!!! The GT80 is a HUGE turbo, do you plan on running super high boost? They also use that wheel in the thumper series!! You will have spooling problems on a 13b with that turbo! That is definately not a street turbo. The larger GT series turbos are good (what magnus uses) After some investigation on the 35/40 turbo you can realize how small the turbo actually is.

Well, it wasn't cheap, I will say that much. After spending allot of money trying to squeek by with different turbos, I decided to just go for it and get what I really wanted. Innovative is great, good guys, good reputation, and they are the only place I know that does the dual BB larger turbos. After I get it all set up I will post results.

I thought it would, and will work just fine, that's why I got it. It just seems that the general concensus on this board is bigger exhaust housings are better although I know some people making very good power with smaller than 1.0 on the hot side. It seems you have two seperate ideas about exhaust housings, you got the guys that say you have to go large to make power and the guys that say that's B.S. and you are just loosing response and adding turbo lag. I thought I'd try somewhere in the middle and go from there.
The car is going together smoothly so I should have it running soon and will be sure to report on my first impressions.

hooking up the downpipe to that turbo

I notice that the turbine housing outlet is not a standard 3" turbonetics outlet that allows their V-Band kit to be used. It looks like a 3.5" outlet. How are you going to hook up the exhaust downpipe? I'm interested because I have a similar housing.

Yes, that is a 3.5" outlet. I am having a custom downpipe made.
