Nice

I am using S4 turbo rotors in my super engine too, with slightly lower compression via some rotor porting

Its the only way to go if you want to run serious boost, even on lowish boost they make EXCELLENT power !

I am going to run very similar set up to you but with 1.32 rear AR, my own water injection system and about 29~36psi boost pressure, expecting around 630~650rwhp.

finnicky7 - It will be interesting to see the difference in our #'s since Banzai built both of our motors, but with totally different setups.

S4 13BT w/ Agressive Street Port built using Super Seals all by Banzai Racing
S6 Rotors
T04Z 1.15 A/R Devided Manifold
Custom Devided Equal Length Manifold

And the list goes on...

I can't wait to see your #'s. You didn't have the 13B-REW Ported yet?

It's divided. I wanted to start smaller and see how it went. So far to 1.00a/r is plenty strong. With ful boost at 4200 what more could I want. I had a non-BB turbo before this and hated the lag.

It will be interesting to see the difference of these two cars now. I can't wait to get mine up and running. Are you running the HKS or Greddy manifold?

^ Can you guys post pics of those manifolds? They are both short runners, correct? I want to see the angle of the flange (how the turbo will sit) and how close they are to the intake manifold. I know the Apexi RX6 manifold is extremely close.

Hey RICE,

Sorry everyone is going to have to wait a little while. Had some issues with a coolant seal on Thursday morning that finally became extremely apparent. Engine is out right now and will be for a couple weeks. But don't worry 15psi, 25psi and maybe a 30psi on the T04Z is on the horizion. This gave me an excuse to put in the new RA black seals anyways.

any type of anti surge system costs ultimate turbine speed and pressure (due to decreased aero dynamics around the comp wheel). It was as I think I posted only ever created to increase map width of a turbocharger and NOT flow or pressure ratio. This is why i dont use them and many others (notably supra people) delete anti surge housings because they are junk.

reduced flow
reduced boost
increased spool time
reduced surge (not relevant to a 13B running T4 sized turbo)

^ so you can see there is no benifits there for us at all, except a nice whistle

Exactly why I opted to forego the anti-surge on my 500R after some informed input from Mike/RacerExtreme7

Sorry to hear this, man!!! I had to sell my FD when the motor blew on the dyno. I went ahead and had it rebuilt to get top dollar for selling it. An apex seal failed on the new owner just after a 1300 mile break-in period. Best of luck to you!
