New seals before going single?
So, shoul i take my engine apart before i take the seg turbos of and go to single?
Car is -94 JDM with 100k Km, i dont know the history of the car so it might be original engine. It idles smooth and puls hard all way to redline.
If it would be piston engine, id have done this all ready.
I have driven the car on track about 4000km with no issues.
I have never let the temps over 110c.
Now im gointo take some more power from it (400-450 flyw.hp), so is there any other methods to measure the engine condition than compression test?
Or is it wise just take the engine apart and put new waterseals etc.?
Thanks

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
YES 100%
The engine is basicaly pretty worn out now, the rotor slots are opened on the ends, apex height will be quite low, corner seals will has stress raisers hammered into them by the side seals and rear stationary gear bearing will probably be worn out too.
Pull it apart now before it pulls itself apart and it will be cheaper to do a rebuild and still use the majority of parts you have in your original block.
Its the best policy, believe me.

Thanks RICE RACING,
I believe you
Better safe than sorry, i have 5 months time to rebuild.
It's nice to start new season when you know the car will hold together.
(my first rebuild tho...)
