New Pic's of My setup....GT42R

For those that havn't seen. THis is the finished product. Ray did some bad *** welding with the intercooler piping and dp, as well as a great job with tuning and engine building. 561rwhp@25psi

Your setup looks great. That turbo looks hungrier than a fat chick at KFC! Is the thottle body stock or modified? And from the looks of it you are using a Turbosmart manual boost controller. How is that working for you? Great car and continued success. Can't wait to see the numbers at 30+psi where that turbo will really shine.

Not to worry! I'll have a custom one by spring, flow bench tested and it will be available to everyone through PFS. And I'll have dyno results before and after too.

Ernie, why did you ditch the Pro-Jay manifold setup? Also, between the SR StageII and the GT42R, didn't you make similar RWHP numbers @ smiliar boost pressures? Just trying to see the benefits of going with the GT42R.

I never dyno'ed the Stage II, but it spooled faster low end, but died up top as it was a much smaller turbo. Also, the stage II was very unreliable. I had to rebuild it every 4months with new oil seals! The GT42R has alot of room for improvment over 25psi. It hasn't even begun to breath yet! And the great thing about it is, I can still run low boost on the street and spool up reasonably. The T6 frame has such large runners, it really flows some air to help spool. And being the GT42R is ballbearing doesn't hurt either...
And I ditched the JayTech manifold for many reasons, but one of which, I saw it cause Dee's car to burn to the ground last year so that scared me.

I'm curious about this statement, as I'm about to start work on a car that has a JayTech set-up. Problem with fuel rails/injectors???

The inj. are screwed into the casting . They arn't helicoiled or anything so they can strip out very easily and the inj. brackets will fly off as will the inj. and fuel......hense...BIG FIRE hazard. Im sure it can be delt with, but I didn't feel like fooling with it.

And Im running an Electromotive Tec3.
