New here but need a help!
Single turbo questions:
My twin turbo is dead. I am considering single T04 turbo.
I have the manifold for the T04 single setup.
Questions:
1. What are the things that should be eliminated?
2. Going single turbo, what is a good ECU but not too excessive price?
3. Do I need to tune or go to the dyno to use this ECU?
4. Is there any plug and play for T04 ECU
5. Is single turbo and this ecu will pass the emission?
Thanks people

1. Many
2. Going single PROPERLY costs several thousand dollars. If you're worried about the cost of the ecu, just get your twins rebuilt or get a brand new set of 99 specs.
3. YES.
4. Not even close.
5. Not even close.
Going single is a MAJOR modification. You shouldn't do it just because your twins died. You will not be able to pass emissions unless you get one of the few kits that allow you to retain an air pump. Even then, if your state does visual testing, you're screwed.
Do a search in the Single Turbo section for "cost of single" or "single requirements" or similar. You'll find the laundry lists of everything you need.
