Need a short filter for my GT45R....

I dont have room for a good cone style filter on my car. I have about 3.5" to work with but would like to avoid a mesh screen. I understand it will collapse under high boost but I would like something that will handle 15psi or so.

I made over 500 rwhp with the 3.5 inch long shorty K&N filter (I made a thread about it many moons ago) and both Scrub and I have open tracked with them for many years. I've since made room to fit a larger filter, but in a pinch it'll work ok...... for a two rotor anyway

I just tuned the 35r and have a smaller open pep boys filter on there. My best pull was 447 while tuning with the filter off. I then put the filter on and did a few more . Actually blasted a 455 pull with it on. I didnt see any losses. G

Just call K&N and have them make you a custom one. They can make it short, but with a very large diameter (larger than what they offer off the shelf), this well let you get the flow you need.
