Thumbs down Need Help With A-Spec GT35R T4 Kit

It is the GT35R T4 long runner kit with the WG dump pipe routed back into the DP.

I am trying to help a friend install the kit on his FD.

If the DP V-band is put on first, we can't get the WG dump pipe aligned enough to put on it's v-band.

If we do the WG v-band first, then the DP is about 1/2" too short to reach the turbo.

Who has actually installed one of these kits themselves (not paid a shop to do it)?
How did you get yours to fit, or is my friend's kit fubared?

Chuck, why not wait until tomorrow and call up Sean at A-Spec?

Ok I will post this here so that it is clear, since I touched on it in another thread, and it seems to be a issue. I had switched suppliers on where I get my bends from. I wanted someone who could deliver on time. One of our biggest issues in the past was getting our stuff delivered to us as promised. Making us not get stuff out as promised. I want that solved. Suddenly now for some reason I am having DP's made in the last batch pop up with this issue. ( Long runner kits only)While I can only assume it is because the bends are slightly different. I'm not sure exactly how that could be it, since they still fit the fixture fine. I will be making a new fixture and such TOMORROW to resolve whatever has caused the last few to be out. If you feel you are having this issue contact me HERE sean@a-spec.com. I will take care of it no expense to you.

I had very similar problems with my GT3574 kits and had to send my DP back to Sean a couple of times to get it straightened out. Sean was very nice about it and paid for all the shipping.

Let me tell you switching out my suppliers on most of my material stuff for the kits is just killing me. First waiting to get all the stuff up to speed with the new machine shop, then with the fittings, now with the bends, try and do the right thing and you get kicked for it, not happy, but getting through it.

I have found the problem and it makes sense. When taking measurments of the turbine housings for some reason the 1.0 sits roughly a 1/8th+ out further than the 1.06 So if you had a 1.06 housing on your setup. That would be the cause. The fixture was made with 1.0's most kits were sold with 1.0's till very recently. (seems more people are wanting the 1.06 suddenly) The problem will be fixed so no future worries to you guys out there. I will be remaking the WG reroute and adjusting the fixture anyway due to the bends being slightly different now anyway as I think that also contributes to the issue.

So to narrow it down further if you have a long runner, 1.06, rerouted, You need to contact me at the following sean@a-spec.com.
DO NOT FIX IT YOURSELF as with any issue if you modify anything I will not warranty it. A few times people have modified something because they thought it should be and they wound up being wrong. CONTACT ME FIRST. I have no problem covering any issue that may arise from our error. I will not cover any issue that has arose out of other peoples error.

Wow Chuck were you that pissed about my kit? Oh, Kyle told me about how you helped and stuff....I really really appreciate it. I'll thank you in person when I get back into Texas.

Hey Sean, I am pretty sure I have a 1.00a/r T4 though.
