Need help with APEX RX6 single will pay($)

I have made a post over in the PFC forum but i am getting desparate. I have an XS tuned PFC and I am sure it is the maps that are causing my problems. I have searched and searched and have tried just about everything and have read threads about bad tuning from XS. I am scared as **** to detonate the car and I can not get on the throttle at all with out the car backfiring and missing. I have done all the things like grounding, fuel filter, ignition. The car idles just great and under light load it work but i can not get on the gas without misfire. Are the XS maps the problem or is there something else I have missed? I have no help here in Canada and if anyone wants to sell Me their "tuned PFC" maps with the same mods or close mods, so I can compare I would be very happy. Or if someone has any other ideas of what this could be.

Thanks

Steve

Are u in Calgary? If so, Astro sez RX-7 Specialties ordered a Datalogit so you can take your car there for tuning.

If you don't have a datalogit the maps will do you no good since xs has changed that base fuel map. Loading another correction map will probably just make things worse. What you might want to try is to pull some fuel out through the pimm settings where you begin to missfire and see if that cleans things up. I have heard that those maps are very rich and it seems that a few people are having similar problems with them.

I have an RX6 single turbo conversion in my 7. I had my Power FC tuned by Shane and Ray from SR Motorsport. I just told them my setup eg Single turbo, injector sizes, intercooler size etc and desired boost levels (low boost and high boost with profec b). They tuned the Pover FC just perfect. The car runs great and under no circumstance I am nor rich or lean. You might give them a call. They program it based on all engine setups so you get the maximum performance out of your 7. Good luck.

I did the exact same thing with my rx6 single turbo setup, only I wasn't as lucky. When I put my pfc back in the car it ran like crap and blew up after a couple test runs. I then decided to go with a haltech and have had no problems yet. Not that SR doesn't know how to tune, but the only way to tune without taking chances is to tune with the computer in the car on the dyno.
