Need Advice on RX6 kit!!!

Hi guys! I just bought a RX6 kit. I am from Singapore and there are very few FD's here. A resident "expert" on FD's claims that I made a bad mistake and that the stock twins boosted to 14psi will outrun a RX6 equipped FD? I seriously doubt it given what I read from this forum. But I would like to clarify. Any of guys tried both setups before? Is it true in your opinion? Also if I have a v-mount setup, exhaust and HKS F-con ECU boosted to 14psi is my engine in any real danger? The "expert" claims with a single my engine is as good as gone. Appreciate any feedback! Thanks

i don't think he knows what he is talking about at all..... just because you have a single your motor isn't going to go bad... if anything, tuned well, i would say it would last longer as you are moving some of the heat of the turbos away from the motor..., also with a vmount, cooling should be really good.

my best friend has an rx6 kit... being as its ball bearing..... i don't the stock twins could even hold a candle to it....... thats just me though.....

You will seldom (if ever) see comparably equipped RX6s and stock twins (other upgrades tend to appear more often on a single conversion). From my experience with my 6, the only time the stocker will show any equality or possible advantage will be in a 35-70 mph run....after that the twins are toast.

If you are just running an F-con piggyback with the stock ecu, you WILL blow the motor. Buy a proper engine management computer -- Apexi PowerFC, Haltech, AEM, etc., and get it tuned properly.

EDIT: You will also need to upgrade your fuel system -- larger secondary injectors + fuel pump at a minimum.

Thanks for the help guys! I am getting the HKS F-con S which is a newer model as compared to the old HKS F-con. THe HKS F-con V pro is out of my budget. Would like to go for a Haltech or Autronic but lack of support here are my main concerns. We have a HKS authorized workshop here in singapore. Understand from a local magazine that what the workshop does is download a pre=programmed map for say a single turbo setup and fine tune it from there (climate, humidity blah blah blah!)
