Thumbs up My New T51r Experience

Picked up my new t51 3rd gen today.
Only running on low boost .8 bar.
A very interesting drive compared to my to4r with .84 a/r
My to4r is definitely quicker off the mark as there is literally no lag and i'm on full boost by bout 3200 - 3500 rpm
The ts51r however is no slouch off tge mark but not as quick as the to4r.
Not much happening below 5,000 rpm at 5,000 rpm you really feel the power and at 5,500 your at full boost. Still suprisingly smooth and an absolute pleasure to drive. I think I'll be upping the boost very soon.

I think that either supposed to be "9psi" or "10psi" with a typo?

You must have bar and psi mixed up you can't run less than stock boost which is 10 psi.

Hi Brian,
Depends what W/G he is using. My spring starts to open at 7psi, and is fully open at 0.8bar. This is with boost controller. Just W/G spring is 7psi fully open.

Gurj, I am surprised i am pushing slightly more than you at the same pressure. Are you gonna take her up at RS next year?

Gargamel, I hope to God that was a typo!! I've seen some video of your car and it looks a good bit faster than 277whp. Come fix what you typed so all of us don't start having massive strokes!!

Ellis, congrats on your new car. Glad to hear that you like it so well. Please make sure you get us the dyno sheets once you get her dialed in where you like it. And I doubt it's a ball bearing T51 if you aren't getting full boost until 5500rpm. Just my thoughts on it though.

The dyno we use iver here is different from the one's you guy's tend to get your car's dyno'd om we use a dyno dynamics dynamometer which reads 10 - 15&% lower than the dynojets used in the USA so my dyno graph will look below par to what you guy's are expecting to see on a t51r.
I've just come back from doing another 200 miles in it and it's definitely quicker than my to4r which is running 1.1 bar with this one running .75 bar

Hi Brian,
Are you gonna be keeping this one for Rotorstock, or still going to run the white one? Incase you don´t remember me from last RS, i am one of the guys who came over from Germany for RS in the 2nd Gen.

Hi John,

How you doing mate.
The t51 is the replacement for my white one to4r. hite one will be up for sale soon once I get round to replacing the gearbox. T51 will be at rotorstock next year.
By then I should of set everything the way I want and be running 25psi.
Even though i'm only running .75 bar at present i'm going to santapod tomorrow along with the usual suspects over here.
I'm gonna miss the white one though but there's no tunring back now.

Brian! What times do toy expext at Santa Pod? I have just dyno'd a 93 Fd with a large streetport and T-88 Greddy on 98 unleaded to 322 whp at 0.8 bar on a dyno Dynamics road. We expect to see 450 whp at 1.2 bar on racefuel. On Wednesday the owner of the car (i built the motor) klocked 8.88s-89.5 mph on the 1/8mile with a lousy 2.3s 60ft. Our goal is to be Swedens first street FD car in the 10s, but we will see that in 2 weeks.

The wheels are 18 inch workmeister. Their split rims. they'll be coming off as soon as I have money to get my Enkei gspec from Japan.
I didn't think ahead as to what time to get as such. My goal was not to break
transmission parts as I normally do lol.
Honestly I don't know the tyres are bordering illegal, and boost is only .75 bar
I can't whack the boost up until knightsports get back to me and let me know what the car's been mapped for. From looking on their ecu it looks like 1.3 bar but I can't be sure.
This is a long term project car not gonna be reay till early next year. It's all gonna be pulled apart soonish I just thought I'd go up the strip to see how it performs as is. Will let you know later i'm off now.
