Mustang Dyno on my RX7

I ran the dyno over the weekend and came out with dissapointment number. I attached dyno sheet #1 is me(Blowzilla; GT40 garrett) and #2 is greddy T78. I don't know why so low power!!

It has new electric harness, all the power is connected right. Cleaned the spark plugs, and It has HKS twin power(for rotory only).

Don't feel bad about the dyno results. My FD dyno'd 360rwhp on Ralph Friends mustang dyno. It ran a 12.2@122 on real street tires. Alot of people think that its closer to 400rwhp....but just remember, dyno numbers mean next to nothing without times to back them up. my .02. CJ

did you get tuned at bpr?
i got my T61 tuned there with very low numbers (340whp). ran a lot of different cars with great results. probably putting down closer to 400whp. ran a tt fd with every bolt on, said his car dynoed 350 and i put bus lenghts on him
take it to the track, see what it does

i just got some dr's and i put in a spec clutch this weekend. should be going to the track sometime soon

haha youre right....my boss' fd made 313rwhp at rotary performance and ran a 12.10@113 on 245/50/16 kumho street tires! most people find this hard to believe but thats because most people cant drive!

If he's in the low 12s, he's getting that car to launch hard, with that trap speed. CJ

Although I've heard some MD owners will claims up to 10% and more difference, I've found that most will have a differential of about 7% from MD to DynoJet.

I've seen 10% on average. Mustang dyno reading lower.

I read this on another site...

I spoke with the Mustang Dynamometer operator/tuner, and he said the conversion is 12% (he says it may be more like 15%) between the Mustang and the DynoJet."

"The difference between the Mustang Dynamometer and the DynoJet is ~12%, with the DynoJet reading higher.

As an aside, the dyno operator said that he can adjust the MD to read the same as the DynoJet, but then when you run in the 1/4, the trap speed will not match up with the HP that is indicated by the dyno. He feels strongly that the MD is a more accurate indicator of "real HP".

Take it to the track my man and see your trap speed the best indicator of real road horspower, dynos are just tuning tools at the end of the day

The local mustang dyno in Vegas reads anywhere from 15-20% lower than the local dynojets typically do.
