VP C12 is 108 octane.

The final octane ratio you want will determine the mixture rate.

(92X + 108Y) / (X + Y) = final octane

92*1 + 108*1 / 2 = 200 / 2 = 100 octane for running half and half.

Your question should have been what octane do I need to run 18 psi boost?

So what octane would allow me to run 20-22 psi? when does full on race gas become a necesity?

i would say at 20-22, i would recommend around 100 plus octane... so i would mix the two at about a 50/50 ratio... A much cheaper solution would be to run water/methanol injection though...

What octane is needed for what boost level and how much timing change is needed for the higher octane gas?

I don't remember ever seening this type of information posted.

There are too many variables to answer that question correctly. I've seen 22PSI on pump gas.. Doesn't mean I would do it though.

Isnt it a trade off though? Backing off the timing to run higher boost...gain/loss acceptable or not?
