MAP sensor

What is the symptoms of a bad MAP sensor

Here is why I ask, when my car reaches positive manifold pressure the computer will shut the fuel injectors off or I will get something like fuel cut. However the fuel pump operates normal. In order to keep my car running I ran a hot wire to keep the fuel pump on to supply the engine with fuel for now. It seem like the main EGI or the Open circuit relay deenergizes from the ECU after start up; the engine will run for about 3 seconds and shuts off.

Could this be a bad MAP sensor or a Bad ECU

remember the car will operate semi normal when I run a hot wire to energize the fuel pump.
