Manifold warping
Hey guys I have an old single turbo twin scroll manifold that keeps warping causing my car to sound like a lawnmower. It still makes plenty of boost since the velocity isnt affected much but the flange to the motor keeps warping. I got it resurfaced and that improved it for about 3 weeks and then it begun warping AGAIN and now im stuck with a john deer FD. could there be any reason specific to a certian setup for the warping of the manifold flange? I have a borgwarner 369SXE and the manifold itself is some old custom one with a racing beat flange. I'm gonna have a new one fabed up soon and hopefully that fixes it for good but I wouldn't want to throw on a brand new one and have it warp again if the cause is not the manifold being old. The fitment of the turbo is really tight almost but barely not touching the firewall on the right side of the car. Could there be a loading issue on the manifold that is causing this?
all sugestions are appreaciated thanks.

Sounds like a good size belt linisher might be a worthy investment if it continues!
Could be stresses introduced from the welding relieving - usually more evident with stainless. EGTs? With mention of clearance from the firewall being tight, when the engine twists on it's mounts under power, does it still clear everything?
It's 99% normally the other end of the manifold that will cause the sealing issues.....never had an issue with the engine flange.
