manifold / DP fitment

does the SSAutoChrome manifold put the turbo in the same place the HKS SS manifold does (isn't it a clone)? Is this the same place as the HKS cast? I'm trying to use a rotary extreme downpipe (that they use in their T04 kits with the HKS cast) and seeing which manifolds it will work with.

Any info would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure it will fit fine. The only problem I would see is if you wanted to plumb it back into the DP. But as far as the turbo location, I think it's right on spec.
Also, there's someone who fabricates DP's to fit the SSA Kit. It's also plumbed to the DP. If you're interested let me know. D

well I already have the downpipe which is a very nice piece. I'd liek to stay with this setup too because I'm just trying out the SSA manifold and this way if it doesn't work out I can swap in an HKS one with no issues (besides w/g which i may leave open to atmosphere for until i prove the worth of the SSA manifold).

i'm interested, i have the ssautochrome piece and a PT63 turbo..i think the back housing for the turbo is 3", but i'll find out for sure.

i need a downpipe....not a full piece, just something that makes the bends that need to be made to clear the motor and the frame and all that good stuff.

that's awesome, that's the turbo I'm looking to purchase.

The rotary extreme piece has a 3" v-band inlet that would match up, and the tang housing is correct, now if the manifold puts the turbo in the same position as an HKS cast, we're in business. BTW the DP goes for a little over $300 from RE.

Good Info! A few months back I could'nt find anyone who sold the DP alone. As soon as I saw one on Ebay, I jumped all over it lol. Hope this thread comes in useful for people who need one.
