Location of FPR

I've changed the location of my rising rate fuel pressure requlator from my previous location and the pressure dropped 10psi. I moved it from near the water pump neck and moved it to the brake booster. The lines are now alot longer so I gather this may be the issue. Does anyone know if this is an issue? I could not place it any closer due to the fact of install alot of the emissions stuff.
THanks,

maybe you had a kink in the hose? some poorer quality AN fittings at the 90deg fittings do restrict flow quite a bit? (there use to be a picture going about for the ID reduction from some fittings)
