well last night my PCV valve that hooks up with oil filler neck pumped out of place. I think a silicone line failed, but anyways i fixed it with new vacuum lines and now my idle is normal but sometimes when i go to brake it hunts up a down a bit. This is a weekend car so its not a problem but you guys have any suggustions what it can be. Thanks! Ps can i elimante this valve and I also checked all lines.

I have the same problem... seems to happen to me more at night when I have the headlights on. It's almost like there isn't enough power to run all of the accessories so it makes the engine bog down. But like he said; anyone have any ideas?

I also have the small battery (located in the bin behind the passenger seat) but what confuses me about it is that once the car is running, the alternator should be doing the work, not the battery. A small battery shouldn't make a difference, atleast you wouldn't think?

What is happening is your voltage is low with the lights on, fans running, stereo, etc. The low voltage makes the fuel injector drivers duty the injectors at a lower rate than the ECU is mapped, thus creating a leaner idle. Lean idles on our cars like to hunt. Sounds like your electrical load unit is not working because it should step the idle up to help compensate.
If you have a smaller crank pulley and a larger pulley on the altenator, it will not spin fast enough to keep the voltage at 14.5. The ECU is designed for a contant voltage.
