Intercooler size to big for stock turbo?

Im checking out this intercooler for my s4 TII. built motor, E6K, full exhaust, but stock turbo for now. will it create to much lag due to pressure drop?

http://www.streetimports.com/product_details.asp?id=355

the dimensions are 24" long x 12" high x 3" thick

help appreciated thanks!

pressure drop isnt a function of intercooler size, its a function of restriction. You are more likely to have significant pressure drop from a intercooler that is too small than too large. You might have a little bit more lag but really as long as teh end tanks are designed well it shouldnt be much of an issue. When your pushing say 600+ cfm thru a intercooler it doesnt take but a fraction of a second to fill up a few extra rows of space. Go with as big as you can fit so you'll have room to improve the turbo down the road and make more power.

What you should really be more concerned about is making sure it has a good fin count and good internal turbulator design. Also, more rows that are smaller will be better at cooling than less rows but that are bigger because you have more fins per air volume when you have more rows (given the same fin count per inch)
