Does anyone know the required intercooler widths and lenghts to suit a First gen FB running a 12A extend street port with a series 4 FC turbo.

and where is the suitable mounting position, on a budget so just trying to get an intercooler to do the job.

Pretty much anything is probly going to be custom. Take your bumper off and start measuring. Then buy one that suits your needs.

 

I too would reccomend taking off the from bumper and taking some measurement. I would then give the guys at cxracing.com a ring. I ended up making my own end tanks.
