installed profec type s and have creep??

just installed my new profec type s and my boost has been holding fine with my old hallmann mbc at .78 bar. now i install the profec the way the instuctions said and it creeps up to .85+ by 7000 rpms, i have fooled with the gain and nothing changed. any ideas as to what could be wrong? the only thing that confused me in the instructions is the side nipple of the wastegate , it doesnt tell you what or where to put it to. i called greddy and they have no idea. i tried setting it up different ways but it didnt work. any help appreciated.

Let's make sure it is plumbed correctly first. GReddy not knowing what to connect to the wastegate side port is idiotic, but then again you don't connect the Profec solenoid to the side port. You clearly have the wastegate side port connected to manifold pressure (or you would have had a huge overboost), so that isn't likely the problem. Did you perhaps plug or somehow obstruct the NO port on the solenoid? You must leave it open/vented. Double check the connections to make sure they are really connected the right way, even if they are correct in your memory.

Here's a link to the Profec B spec II instructions (I know you have the type-S, but those instructions aren't available online):
http://www.greddy.com/tech/PROFEC_B_SPEC2.pdf

If your solenoid valve looks like that (if it has 3 ports labelled NO, NC, and COM, these instructions are correct), connect it like page 10 (page 10 as shown on the page; the 11th page of the PDF file) of the instructions -- Valve Unit Installation (External Wastegate Type).

1. manifold pressure to wastegate side port
2. manifold pressure to NC (normally closed) port on solenoid
3. leave NO (normally open) port on solenoid open (don't plug it)
4. connect the COM (common) port on the solenoid to the top of the wastegate

If the solenoid valve looks different, how about posting a picture of it, or scanning the instructions (just the "external wastegate" diagram) and posting them here.

Just to throw in my 2 cents iam having a similar problem. Iam non sequential and RX-7 store hooked it up using NO going to pressure and COM going to the wastegate. NC is open and not obstructed... I just want to make sure mine is hooked up right.

ok so i got to re-setup my profec. first setup didnt work and still spiked badly here is the first setup. it spiked to .85+ bar.

uim pressure to side port wastegate.
turbo comp. pressure to NC.
NO unpluged.
COM connected to the top of the wastegate.

now the second setup, worked great and now holds boost at .67 bar, which is less then my manual bc. now i am finally happy with my profec. also boost responce is much better with the profec.

turbo comp. to side port wastegate.
turbo comp. pressure to NC.
NO unpluged.
COM connected to top of wastegate.
