injector diffusers

This is in reference to the little brown plastic injector pulse diffusers (guessing they help direct some of the flow into the ports??)

Anyways, when using 1600cc injectors the bottom part of these is broken off so that it doesnt break off into the engine from the amount of fuel that the 1600cc injectors flow.

My problem is that one of the ones for my primary (*550cc) injectors has broken off at the bottom. Wondering if there are any ill effects to just slapping it back in there without the little angled flange at the bottom like the 1600cc's are.

If not, anyone have any I can get my hands on??

TIA,

I think they are only about $5 from the dealer, I'd replace it just in case. You'd prob hate to pull that crap back apart over such a cheap piece.

Actually they help with atomization of the fuel and I would definitly put in new ones.. The plastic get's brittle over time with heat, so you'd be better off replacing both of them.. they are about $10 each here in Japan, I'm not sure what they cost back in the states..
