individual throttle body
Has anyone done a quad post plenum throttle body setup using the stock lim? I have done a bit of searching on this and only found the tweakit dual throttle body setup and the E&J setup. It seems that considerably more air could be given to the primary intake ports if it were to also have 2 throttle plates.
How much of the bottom end would be lost when you do this? This would decrease the effect of the pressure wave bouncing between the front and rear rotors as a result of the ports opening and closing.
The advantages of something like this are that you could setup a linkage so that the primary plates begin opening before the secondary plates similar to the stock mazda setup while being able to flow more air to the primary ports.
If i do this im going to start with a set of 42mm throttle bodies

nope, turbo setup. yes to the mid stream tb. It should also reduce the size required for the plenum. It is pretty common on p-port engines to do this. I have not seen a setup on a side port engine
