I'm Confused! Turbo models?
Hehehe, that's a much more complicated question than you realize. Some are original designs, some use parts and pieces of other designs, and some are kits. The vendors usually don't want you to know if they use their competitor's parts or patents, and they especially don't want you to copy their kit and make it for less money. The confusing part is the naming of the turbos, which may or may not have anything to do with the specifications.
To answer your two specific examples, the T78 is a kit from Greddy, and the T04 is a Garrett turbocharger series which is also made by licensed manufacturers like Turbonetics.
These web sites should keep you busy for a while.
