Ideas/Suggestions for converting to single turbo.

Hey guys,

I will be going single turbo here in the spring. I want to know what the best setup would be on a stock motor, to produce 400hp. Not looking to go past 450 and obviously not opposed to going a littler over 400hp. The car currently makes 330whp and 287 torque.

Mainly looking for the best turbo and wastegate to use as well as the suggested psi. Also any fuel mods and ignition mods wouldn't hurt if you want to throw those suggestions in the mixer as well.

I appreciate it guys!

Mark

Current mods-
Apexi Power FC
Greddy 3 row FMIC
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Pettit AST
3" Downpipe
Apexi N1 Exhaust

Then a few others which would be eliminated or do not matter for the upgrade, coilovers, air intakes for twins, turbo timer ect.

i think the main question is budget because there are plenty of turbos to choose from nowadays. I don't just mean ball bearing vs journal bearing, or billet compressor wheels, but also china cheapo turbos that some have had good experience with and known brands.

I like looking at the turblown website. It looks like good quality stuff and a decent price if you were looking for a tubular manifold, stainless steel tig welded piece.

The cheapest way is to get one of the cast iron manifolds out there and put a turbo kit together. Not the best flowing, but those cast iron manifolds seem to hold up pretty well to the heat generated by rotaries
